Who Am I?
If I wanted to describe myself in a few words those would be “breezy”, “empathic”, “dreamy” and “observant”. Working on set for me is a flow or a sort of meditation where there’s only three of us: me, you and the camera. Nothing else matters.
I was born on the snowy second day of winter in Kyiv. That morning, most of the people probably did not want to move their legs out of the warm blanket. That’s why it’s my favorite time of the year: everyone around is always pink-cheeked from the cold, snowflakes gather on their eyelashes… the days are white, and the evenings are dark blue with yellow specks from the lanterns. Since childhood, I have paid attention to the details around me, to the visual images that the world communicates with me. So, at the age of 17, I started my university studies of direction and screenwriting. In 3 years I went to Barcelona to study filmmaking, and then the war began. I was very devastated, when unexpectedly my friend gave me a photo camera, so I decided to fill the strange voids in myself with the help of “photo walks”. This camera, like a gift of fate, pulled me out of gloomy thoughts and reopened the magic of photography to me. So, that’s how I came to this moment, when you are reading it on my website. :)
I firmly believe that photography is not just about understanding the story—it's about feeling it. So, I strive to match the details in the right way to create a connection between you and the image you see. My purpose is not to be a genius, but to be simple, true, and kind. In my photography, I value the versatility of beauty.
I enjoy being honest with myself, clients and this world eventually, because art speaks the language of truth. And my aim is to speak with my photography as clear as possible.
